Every piece of Kaiko jewellery is made by hand in Kathmandu, Nepal. Behind our jewellery is Aroma Beads, a business run by Indu and her daughter Anjila that now employs more than 40 women.

Work that changes more than one life
Nepal is one of the poorest countries in Asia, and for women, an income of their own can't be taken for granted. Earning their own money gives women a say in their own lives and their families' lives, and the impact reaches the whole community.
Anjila and Indu train women in jewellery making and help new makers get started. Our designs take into account that the work can be done part-time from home. For many women, it's the only way to earn their own income while caring for children and elderly relatives. The skill stays with them and can be used in other work too.

How it all began
From the very start, Kaiko's dream has been to create fair jobs where they're needed most. In 2020, Kaiko joined forces with Store of Hope, which had worked in Nepal for years, and that same year we launched our first jewellery collection, Empowering Earrings. Our collaboration with Anjila and Indu has continued ever since, and the collection has grown year by year.

Every purchase does good twice
When you choose Kaiko jewellery, you directly support the livelihoods of the women who made it. On top of that, we direct 7% of the profit from every product sold to Nepal to support women's education and employment.
